Over his 24 years of experience, his designs have been published in several magazines and have been featured in local garden tours. He was selected as one of Greenville’s Best and Brightest 35 and Under in 2007. During his career, Graham has created over 2100 designs of residential homes, parks, commercial spaces, neighborhood entrances and new development areas. The majority of his work is in the Upstate, however he has completed designs over the entire Southeast.
GKLD provides many services – Hourly Consultations, Siting structures and hardscape layout, Landscape Master Planning for all size sites, and Construction Project Management. An Hourly Consultation is typically used for proper plant maintenance, drainage issues, overall conceptual ideas and visions. The consultation often leads to a written proposal for landscape drawings and details. Siting structures and hardscape layout service is the first step a client and his/her architect or builder may request for a design for new construction. Standard concerns are the following: proper drainage, slopes, garden layout, hardscapes, and correct plant material. A Master Landscape Plan includes site analysis of existing conditions, scaled base information, preliminary master landscape layout plans, revisions, client meetings, detailed plant list, maintenance schedule, construction details, and landscape lighting plan. Construction Management Services of a project includes the following steps of construction and installation:
- Written Construction Specifications
- Contractor bid package dispersion
- Plans submitted to Neighborhood or Architectural Review Boards if necessary
- Contractor bid collection and review
- Written Summary of Bids reviewed with client
- Organizing/scheduling of contractors
- Installation inspections during construction
- Review of contractor payment requests
- Final inspection/punch list prior to any contractor receiving final payment
